I didn't think there was a lottery, but I just checked the rules:
Draft order will stay as is: Teams finishing 7th - 12th in positions 1 - 6 then the teams finishing 6th - 1st in positions 7 - 12 (this means that the three division winners will be slotted in the 10, 11 and 12 spots) with two exceptions:
- FCFL champion will pick in the 12th spot.
- A lottery will be held between all the non-playoff teams to determine the 1st overall pick. Whichever team wins the lottery will select 1st overall, and then move back into his regular drafting spot for all subsequent rounds.
Lottery percentages are as follows:
7th: 45% The Dutch Ovens (lottery balls 1-45)
8th: 25% Bartolo Colon (lottery balls 46-70)
9th: 15% Brighton Bears (Lottery Balls 71-85)
10th: 7% Musky Muskrats (Lottery Balls 86-92)
11th: 5% NW Pale Ales (Lottery Balls 93-97)
12th: 3% Broadway (Lottery Balls 98-100)
I am going to ask Josh to use random.org to select a number between 1-100 and post it here.

I initially screwed up the order above but it has been fixed now to reflect regular season standings.
Congratulations to Ollie, winner of the 2017 draft lottery

Fck me. So I (colon pick) am 3rd now?
Nm saw the draft pick thread.
On a side note. Is 5 rounds a bit overkill? Are there really that many viable Players available. 3 sounds more fitting. I've been researching more than usual and I can't even see making more than 3 pics. And I have like 7 or 8

yes I was thinking the same thing. I think we'll leave it this year since there should be some players left over from last year that we can snag and I think some later picks were traded, but probably cut out round 4-5 next season

Alternatively, since you are the only one with an extra pick in rounds 4/5, we could just scrap those rounds and give you one additional pick at the end of the third round.
thoughts?

3 rounds in the future makes a lot more sense to me. im also good with taking out rounds 4+5 this year as long as it doesnt screw anyone/we find an acceptable compromise.

3 rounds probably looks right in hindsight. Was going off the fchl setup mostly but think 3 is more appropriate for NFL.

unless anybody strongly objects, I'm going to go ahead and cut rounds 4 and 5 for this year as well, and award Steve 1 compensatory pick at the end of the third round.

Should it still be $3/$2/$1 since we only have three rounds? I was thinking $3/$1.50/$.50?
